Care and maintenance
Looking after a padel court
Sand, net, glass, turf: the FFT’s recommended care schedule, and the signs that turf needs replacing. AGEPADEL handles care, maintenance and turf replacement throughout France.

What we do
- Care and maintenance of your courts after handover: frame, glass, net, turf and lighting.
- Turf replacement on an existing court, without touching the frame.
- Guidance for your staff on day-to-day care.
We work throughout France, with one point of contact for the care of your courts.
The recommended care schedule
The French Tennis Federation recommends the following programme in its padel specification (2022 edition).
| Frequency | Task |
|---|---|
| Weekly | Spread the silica sand over the turf |
| Monthly | Check net tension |
| 1 to 6 times a year | Top up the silica sand |
| 1 to 2 times a year (outdoor) | Biocide treatment |
| Yearly | Check the glass (screws, seals); clean it regularly |
| Every 3 to 4 years | Decompact the turf |
Portico Sport also advises cleaning the glass with a non-abrasive product and microfibre, keeping drains clear, and having the court checked by a professional every year.
When to replace the turf
Turf lifespan depends mostly on how much it is played and how well it is kept. The FFT 2022 specification suggests replacing it every 4 to 6 years. Turf maker Mondo lists these signs:
- shortened or broken fibres;
- fibre debris on the court;
- an uneven bounce;
- grip that varies from one area to another.
We replaced the turf at Club de l’Hers in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville. Ask for a turf replacement quote.
